Settings
You can configure high level settings to change the way this program works with your device.
Go to Menu > Settings. See the sections below for help with each setting.
Device
Change the way phone numbers are handled
- To make phone numbers links that, when clicked, activate the phone on your device and dial the number, under Phone Number Links, press On.
- To show phone numbers as text only, under Phone Number Links, press Off. This is the default setting.
Enable or disable SMS links:
- To show SMS (Short Message Service) links next to phone numbers that, when clicked, activate the text messaging application to send a text message to the phone number, under SMS Links, press On.
- To hide SMS links next to phone numbers, under SMS Links, press Off. This is the default setting.
Change the way dates are selected:
- To use Mobi date control, under Date Control, press Mobi. This is the default setting and works on most devices.
- To use HTML5 date control, under Date Control, press HTML5. This option works well on some devices and may be preferable on your device. If you have trouble with HTML5 date control, use Mobi date control.
Note: HTML5 date control works differently on different devices. Also it usually presents a different interface on mobile devices than it does on a desktop browser.
Change the way the camera is accessed:
- To use the native camera control, under Camera Control, press Native Camera. This is the default setting and should work for most devices.
- To use the HTML5 camera control, under Camera Control, press HTML5 Camera. This option is intended for Windows® mobile devices.
Prospero
Show or hide the Print Report button on inspection reports:
- To show the Print Report button, under Show Print Button on Inspection Report, press Yes. This the default setting.
- To hide the Print Report button, under Show Print Button on Inspection Report, press No.
Show or hide checklist items on inspection reports:
- To show checklist items on printed or emailed inspection reports, under Include checklist on Inspection Report, press Yes.
Note: Only checklist items for which a status of ACCEPTED, INCOMPLETE, REJECTED, or P. ENG has been assigned will appear on inspection reports. For emailed inspection reports, the email template assigned to the folder task in the Prospero Configuration program must include the <<task_checklist>>
substitution variable.
- To hide checklist items on printed or emailed inspection reports, under Include checklist on Inspection Report, press No.
Show or hide the Folder Events section on the Folder Details page:
- To show the Folder Events section, under Show Folder Events, select Yes.
- To hide the Folder Events section, under Show Folder Events, select No. This the default setting.
Show or hide the Task Comments section on the Task Details page:
- To show the Task Comments section, under Show Task Comments, select Yes.
- To hide the Task Comments section, under Show Task Comments, select No. This the default setting.
Calls
Show or hide My Workgroup calls:
- To show only calls that are assigned to you or for which you have workflow, under Show My Workgroup Calls, press No. On the Mobile Dashboard home page, you will only see calls in the My Calls section.
- To show calls that are assigned to you or for which you have workflow as well as calls in workgroups to which you have been granted Maintain permission, under Show My Workgroup Calls, press Yes.
Mapping
Change the default mapping application for viewing locations on a map:
- If you have an Apple iOS device (such as an iPad or iPhone) and want to use the Google Maps app, select Google Maps - iOS devices with Google Maps installed. The Google Maps iOS app will be used by default.
- If you have a device other than an Apple iOS device (such as Android) and want to use Google Maps, select Google Maps - Other devices (Android, Blackberry, Windows, etc.). Depending on the device, the map may open in an the Google Maps app (if installed) or in a browser.
- To use Bing Maps on any device, select Bing - All devices.
Enable or disable custom map links:
